The Best Bras for Small-Busted Petite Women

Being small busted can make it hard to find bras that fit. If you're also petite, you get a whole extra set of issues to deal with.

The straps on standard bras are too long, the cups are too far apart, and the underwires dig into your sides because they're too high for a short person. Not good.

Luckily, there are brands (and ranges) that cater especially to small-busted petite women.  So, you can still find a bra that fits.

Timpa is great if you're small busted, and even better if you're also petite. The wires are close together, so they're best for a small frame, with close-set breasts. Order a cup size larger if you're not shallow or if you prefer a fuller cup style.

Absolutely no padding, just beautiful sheer lace. If you are sick of bras that assume small busted women only want to look bigger, this is the bra for you. Since it's a demi cup, it's also great if you are shallow. 
The band runs small so try ordering a band size up if you can. If you are in-between cup sizes, or want more coverage, get a cup size larger. Oh, and it comes it lots of colors, so you don't have to settle for plain beige or black either.

Wacoal Petite Embrace Bra

This has pretty lace detail on the center panel and along the back of the band so it looks like a bra for adults, rather than teens.

It does have both padding and push-up (if you prefer a more enhanced look).  If you'd rather not have pads, they can be easily removed.

The bra has a wide center panel, but I suspect the people having trouble with the cups had small busts, but were too tall for a petite bra.

The cups are smooth, so they won't be visible under form-fitting tops.  But, just so it's not blah, there's plenty of pretty lace along the bottom and up the straps.  The beige bra has contrasting ivory lace, and the black one has matching black lace.

Made for petite bodies, the cups on this bra are smaller and closer together than standard bras. They also tend to run a bit shallow, so go up a cup size if you have a rounder shape.

This bra features a plunging neckline and plenty of padding for extra oomph.  The cups are covered with lace, which goes up to the front of the straps.

Unlike the Yvonne, this style is better if you are close-set, since the center is narrow. The band is running a little small, so keep that in mind.

Multi-purpose straps can be worn standard, criss-crossed, or halter style.

Best Bras for a Small Bust

Are you small busted? Meaning you need a 30-34 band size and an AA, A, or B cup size? If you are, you may be wondering how to find the best bra for a small bust.

Being small busted has some advantages.

Less bouncing if you're active, and less chance of back pain. You can even skip wearing a bra altogether if you feel comfortable doing that. However, there are some problems too.

For one thing, it can be hard to even find anything in your size. Also, a lot of the bras are padded; fine if you prefer that, a bit of a pain if you don't. Or, you may find yourself stuck with bras meant for tweens. OK if you are a tween, but those bras are not right stylistically for an adult, and not constructed with an adult body in mind.

So what is the best bra for a small bust? And how do you find it?

Luckily, there are brands either dedicated to making bras for small busts, or with a good selection in smaller cup sizes. No more frustration; these bras come in sizes as small as 30A.

First up is Maidenform. Their bras tend to run small, so the 32 band and A cup could work for smaller sizes. They have several different ranges; the best bets for small busted women are the "One Fab Fit" and push-up styles. Then there's Timpa, a brand that specializes in smaller sizes. I've also found a Calvin Klein bra, and a Gossard style that have 30 bands, some in 30A and others in 30B. I've listed all the sizes at the end of the description for each garment.


Some of the others are meant for larger busted women (so be careful when you shop).

Best Bras for Small Bust

Maidenform One Fab Fit Racerback Bra

This bra starts at 32 band sizes (in C cup) and goes up to 42. come in larger cup sizes, but the larger size women who bought them had problems (they spilled out of the bra). You, however, can use that to your advantage!  The lace band and racerback add an elegant touch.

Black, white, beige, glossy white, pearl, pale paisley pink, shell, white, coral black with gray trim, coral, and teal. Small cup sizes 34-42B, 32-40C,32D-40D and 40DD.

Fit Note

Timpa and Little Bra Company bras are designed especially for small women. They may run smaller than bras from other manufacturers.

This is good news if you're a 26 band or AA cup, as the 28A might fit.

Sheer mesh plus support make this bra both sexy and practical.  The cups are molded, not padded, which will give you a more natural, rounded looking shape. The material is stretchy which means it will adjust to better fit your body.

The triangular center panel will be more comfortable with wider-set breasts. It does run a bit shallow, and the band is a bit smaller than usual so size up if you want more coverage or if you are between cup sizes.

Comes in US sizes 32-38 A-C in beige, white, or black mesh.

Flattering, comfortable and it comes in lots of fun colors too. Why settle for just beige when you can have coral too? It's lightweight and has pretty scalloped lace along the edges and tops of the cups, plus more lace on the sides, under the band, and in the back.

There's a little bit of padding for modesty, but not enough to feel bulky or heavy.

No lining, no padding, and stretch material that conforms to your shape for a better fit.  The bandless design is ideal for those with shorter torsos  (and it also makes the bra lighter and less bulky. The center panel is wide, so it's a good option if you are wide-set or go east-west.

Available in 30B-DD, 32-36B-DD, and 38B-D in black, beige, blue floral, ivory, and rose print.

Gossard Women's Glossies Sheer Moulded Bra

No 30A in this, but it does have small band B cup sizes. It's sheer, shiny, and comes in lots of fun colors too. There's no padding (where would it go?), just you. The cups are stretchy so they will adjust to fit your body better. The straps on A-D cup sizes are also convertible, so you can wear it criss-crossed if you like. Since it's bandless, it's more comfortable if you are short.

Comes in UK sizes 30B-38G, 32-38A-G in white, black, beige, sage, brown, marine, pink, and two shades of red.
